Color Theory Mandala
Due Date: October 10
Practice what you learned so far about color theory.
Instructions
- Draw a circle at least 7 inches across on a sheet of plain white paper. Use a cereal bowl or a compass.
- Neatly cut out the circle.
- Fold it neatly in half. Do not unfold it yet.
- Fold it neatly in half again, and then again. You should end up with a pie piece shape.
- Unfold the whole circle.
- Draw your name inside one single “pie piece” triangle. Draw the outlines of the letters so they can be filled in with color later. USE PENCIL and fill up the space.
- Make your name design touch the edges of the triangle.
- Fold this triangle over onto the neighboring triangle.
- Transfer the image by rubbing the back of the
new design with your pencil, pressing
firmly and all over. - Unfold, and redraw the transferred, mirror image
with darker pencil lines. - Fold this new completed triangle over the next
empty one and repeat. - Continue around until all the pieces are filled.
