Photoshop Project 6

Instructions
Design a snack bag in Photoshop.
- START WITH AN IDEA
- Create a name for your snacky goodie.
- Decide what kind of treat it is: for example, potato chips, candies, pretzels, dried fruit?
- Decide who your target market is: for example, children, teens, young adults, cowboys, vegetarians, firefighters, space aliens?
- Think about the colors and typography will that appeal to your target market and that will inspire their appetite.
- SKETCH IT OUT
- Sketch out three or more design ideas as thumbnails before you even open Photoshop.
- Show the placement of people, product images, the product name, slogans, logos, other graphics, etc. in your sketches. Fine details are not necessary.
- Use colored pencils to test some color combinations (no markers!)
- GET SET UP
- Create a new folder in your username folder called "Lastname Project 6". (Be sure to replace "Lastname" with your actual last name.)
- Go get some large digital photographs and/or graphics to play with. Save them in your "Lastname Project 6" folder. Google images is your friend.
- Open the photographs in Photoshop.
- CREATE YOUR MASTERPIECE SNACK BAG
Your Photoshop file must contain:- Many layers, one layer for each piece of the overall design (text, photos, logo, painted areas, etc.)
- Text for the snack name and for slogans/reasons to buy.
- Photos or graphics that show what the snack looks like.
- TURN IN THE FILES
Turn in the entire "Lastname Project 6" folder into the "Project 6" folder in the Inbox. I should see the following in your "Lastname Project 6" folder:- the layered Photoshop file
- any source photos or graphics you used
- TURN IN THE ORIGINAL SKETCHES
These go into the "In Box" on my desk. Make sure your name is on these!
